S.W.A.T. SECURITY
(Swallow Alarm Technology) was founded by Mr Geoff Gordon in 1980. The
company started life working from home and was known as ALARM TECHNOLOGY.
In 1983 the company merged with SWALLOW SECURITY SERVICES and renamed
SWALLOW ALARM TECHNOLOGY, which quickly became known as S.W.A.T. security,
our bell box logo initials.
Premises were purchased in Brook Street, Selby in 1983. In 1984 the
company became N.S.C.I.A approved (now called N.A.C.O.S.S.) and has now
grown to one of the leading security companies in Yorkshire and
Humberside.
In early 1997 we purchased Corunna House, an 18th century Georgian house,
in Ousegate Selby. N.A.C.O.S.S. (National Approved Council for Security
Systems) approval is the highest accolade in the Security Industry. In
1993 we achieved BS5750 status then in 1995 we progressed to ISO9002. We
have worked for some of the largest PLC's and authorities in the area. Our
reputation for a job of the highest standard at a competitive price with
an excellent after sales service has meant that we now have long
associations with many of these companies.
On 1st December 1998 we acquired "York Alarm Centres" making
us one of the largest N.A.C.O.S.S. approved security companies in the

Security, received further recognition of their commitment to
working to the highest standards when they received their NACOSS
Gold medal presented to them by the National Security Inspectorate's
(NSI) Chief Executive Tom Mullarkey (right of picture) at the
Quality Hotel, Selby Fork, Leeds on 13th January 2004.

The
unique, numbered and framed gold medal produced exclusively for NSI
by the Royal Mint, is awarded to companies which have achieved
NACOSS Gold approval, the premier scheme for companies involved in
the installation and maintenance of Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and
Access Control systems in the UK. By meeting NACOSS Gold
requirements, S.W.A.T Security can provide assurance to their
customers that they deliver the highest standard of service.

has been installing Intruder systems to NACOSS standard since 1984
(formerly N.S.C.I.A) "We are committed to providing both new

An independent, not-for-profit organisation, NSI is the UK's leading
inspectorate for the security and more recently the fire industries,
championing the highest standards for over 30 years. NSI approved
companies comply with the appropriate British and European Standards
and meet the requirements of the Police and insurers. Companies are
inspected regularly for their continues delivery of the highest
